the ballerina is back!

Oh hey, remember when I used to blog all the time, but then I stopped because my life started getting absolutely bonkers?

I am the little kid, and the universe is Bill Cosby...

So yeah, I've been a bad blogger because apparently when you have a blog, you're actually supposed to write stuff on it.  Oops.

The thing is, I made a rule for myself when I started this thing: blogging is supposed to be fun.  If I am busy to the point where blogging becomes a chore, I don't want to do it.  And that's exactly what's happened here lately.  I've been SO busy.  For the past few weeks, I've literally had something I absolutely HAD to do every minute of the day until about 10:30 at night.  Blah.  Not fun.

To give you an idea of what I've been up to, here's a list of things I've been doing lately:

1) Teaching summer school
I get to make some extra cash this summer and keep my teaching skills on point.  Win/win, right?  Ummm kind of.  I am teaching two different sessions.  Each session is 3 hours long, and I have to pretty much make up all of the curriculum on my own.  Yay.

2) Teaching summer dance classes/Working our recital
These are fun, but they are just one more thing for me to do.

3) Cooking/Cleaning
That's usual, but it still takes up a lot of time.

4) Working on my beach bod
It's summer after all, so I've gotta keep it toned up.

5) Various doctor appointments
Having someone else floss your teeth for you is always fun.

6) Wedding planning
Current status: shopping for photographers and DJs

My bridesmaid/bestie, KK, is so awesome for sending me stuff like this.

7) Traveling to various weekend activity spots
Houston, the lake, girl's weekend in F-berg, etc.

....okay you get the gist.  I got stuff happening over here.

ALAS, I am nearing the end of the craziness, so I am BACK in business.  Get ready for excellent summer tales, recipes galore, and shenanigans in general.

  1. Summer school? Brave woman! I never had the nerve to teach summer school. But you are right, the money is good! I know people who do it every year for that very reason. (I heard it's easier at the high school level because a lot of what they do is self-paced on the computer.) I hope you get in plenty of relaxing and taking it easy; you've earned a break!

    1. Thanks, Amy! Yes, summer school was kind of draining, but I am nearing the end! 3 more days :)
