Here's my pickies for the last week in April...this month has flown by!

Sunday April 22, 2012

This was our first Sunday in the new place.  However, I had the same grocery routine.  Step 1: buy a lot of groceries.  Step 2: carry all of the bags into the apartment at once so there are not multiple car trips.  Step 3: drop all of the groceries on the middle of the kitchen floor while panting and checking arms for bag-induced open wounds.  Step 4: put away the groceries.

Monday April 23, 2012

By Monday, we had all of our stuff put away.  "A place for everything, and everything in its place!" ...except for our shoes.  There was nowhere to put our shoes!  The shoe dilemma seemed like something relatively simple to fix, but it turned out to be quite the ordeal.  First, I got this shelf.  It was too big.  Next, I got a little rack thingy that hangs on the closet door.  It fit!  But the closet wouldn't close.  Finally, I got one of those canvas shoe things, and the shoe problem was solved!  I've never made so many trips to Wal-Mart customer service in my life.

Tuesday night was kickball time, and the Baccas were in the playoffs!  I'm not sure why, but I really like this picture of my friends Jeff and Carrie (and the playoff balloon).  I think Jeff's hat and Carrie's hand cradling the balloon might have something to do with it.

The third day of STAAR testing for this year!  Look at my beautiful bouquet of pencils.  I guess I must really be cut out for teaching if a bouquet of writing utensils makes it on my blog. Ha.

On Thursday of last week Austin and I went on a walk...to our friend Evan's house!  It is SO cool to be able to walk to our friends' houses, especially with such lovely landscape all around us!

Friday was the last day of testing for the year at the middle school I work at.  Because all my students had been testing/working so hard for the past 4 days, I let them watch A Goofy Movie when they came to my class.  I know, I know...you all wish you were back in 7th grade so that I could be your teacher.

Saturday morning equals cute little girls in cute little tutus carrying cute little pink dance bags.  Look at how adorable all of their bags are all lined up!
