project 365 vol. 48

Surprise surprise...I'm late on my blogging again.  However, my week is starting to wind down, so I'm hoping to get caught up.  In the mean time in between time, here's what's been going on:

Sunday December 2, 2012
We put up our very first Christmas tree two Sundays ago!  I was at Home Depot (because it's like totes my favorite store...duh), and I spotted this pre-lit tree for $49.99.  Yes please!  I got my tree topper at Pier 1, and the ornaments are from Target and WalMart.  I love coming home every night during this season and plugging this baby in.  It's very cheerful!

Monday December 3, 2012
I also ordered some stockings, and they came in a few Mondays ago.  Hey, I have a real job now, so I can officially afford to get into the Christmas spirit!  These came from Pottery Barn (love that place!), and they shipped and monogrammed them for free ninety free!  I think they're cute.
Tuesday December 4, 2012
I made The Pioneer Woman's baked ziti on this particular Tuesday.  Let me tell ya...it was good, but the recipe makes a TON of ziti.  Next time I will 1/2 it.  (Here is the full recipe in case you want to try it out!)
Wednesday December 5, 2012
December 5th was Austin's 24th bird day!  I recently wrote a post all about it.  I was sicky jones all day long, but I started feeling better in time for dinner at Park Tavern.  We had a good time :)
Thursday December 6, 2012
Here are the cupcakes that we ate during Austin's birthday edition of "boiz nite".  I liked those glitter candles.  Austin liked the cupcakes.

Friday December 7, 2012
Friday the 7th was Christmas in Mexico!  Our friend Ashely hosted a wonderful fiesta complete with fake mustaches and a Christmas Tree pinata.  It was a blast!
Saturday December 8, 2012
Saturday was the big celebration out in Ft. Worth for Austin's b-day.  That's us in front of the "White Elephant" bar.  We had a lot of fun out in the fort!!

  1. You stockings are gorgeous! They have a beautiful "traditional" look. We think our stockings got lost in the move. Boo! I'm hopeful that they are hidden in one of the boxes we never fully unpacked. I might have to snatch up ones like this next year if we are still stocking-less.*
